Christine Meiers Schatz will make sure your concerns get the voice they deserve

As a Harvard-educated financial industry expert and community advocate, I'd work to make Westport a better, more affordable place to live for everyone. My primary responsibility is to represent you, and I have the advocacy background to ensure your concerns get the voice they deserve. Some of my other areas of focus include the following:

  • Fiscal responsibility,
  • Properly maintaining and ideally improving Westport's most valuable assets, including SCHOOLS, BEACHES, and RECREATION FACILITIES,
  • Reducing traffic congestion,
  • Improving pedestrian safety and adding sidewalks,
  • Advocating at state and federal levels to get as much funding for Westport as possible, including funds for Metro North repairs to REDUCE COMMUTING TIMES,
  • Modernizing local government so that it is easier for residents to stay informed and contribute ideas. Westport has some of the most talented, smart, and sophisticated residents in the country, and these residents are our towns greatest untapped resource. We must make it less burdensome for residents to actively participate and contribute ideas, and
  • Finding a less expensive and less centrally located place to park Westport's fleet of school busses.
